The Swift Current Diamond Energy Wildcats won both games over the host Battlefords Sharks in the Saskatchewan Female Midget AAA Hockey League over the weekend.
Saturday, the Wildcats scored the final two goals to defeat the Sharks 4-3. Ryleigh White scored her second goal of the game to tie the contest 3-3 midway through the period and Taylor Kirwan scored the game winner 3:27 later.
Crystal Wale added a goal and an assist, while Taylor Lind, Trista Labarowski, and Baylee Kirwan all added assists. Amaya Giraudier earned the win with 15 saves on 18 shots.
Sunday, the Wildcats completed the weekend sweep with a 4-0 win, led by two goals and one assist from Trista Labarowski. Giraudier made 26 saves in the shutout. Baylee Kirwan also scored twice, while Tennelle Lind added a pair of assists. Madison Garrett, Taylor Lind, Carissa Hogan, and Layne Hryhoriw all added assists.
The Wildcats remain fifth in the SFMAAAHL with a 13-9-1-3 record. They host the Notre Dame Hounds on Wednesday at 8 p.m. at Fairview West Arena.
