The Swift Current Southwest Terminal Broncos concluded the South Saskatchewan Peewee AA Hockey League regular season with three games in as many days, winning twice.
Friday, the Broncos opened the weekend with an 11-4 win over the host Moose Jaw Warriors. They trailed 3-2 after 6:49 before scoring nine of the final 11 goals.
Brayden Sumner led the offensive outburst with four goals and two assists, followed by three goals and two assists from Nolan Stevenson and a goal and four assists from Connor Choo-Foo.
Rylan Williams added a goal and three assists, while Carson Sabine chipped in two helpers. Jace Bymoen and Madden Wallis also scored as Lukas Toth earned the win in goal.
Saturday, the host Broncos were defeated 7-5 by the visiting Melville Millionaires, despite a hat trick from Sumner in a losing cause.
Williams finished with a goal and an assist, while Bymoen added two assists. Carter Herman also scored, while Choo-Foo picked up an assist.
Sunday, the Broncos replied with a 5-4 win in the rematch. Williams led the way with three goals and one assist, followed by four assists from Choo-Foo. Sumner registered two goals and one assist, while Stevenson also found the back of the net. Herman and Carson Sabine added assists and Toth earned the win in goal.
The Broncos finished the season with a 13-9-3 record in third spot in the six-team league.
