The Swift Current Diamond Energy Wildcats opened the 20-team Mandi Schwartz Memorial Tournament with a 3-3 draw against the Fraser Valley Rush on Thursday in Milestone.
Taylor Lind led the Wildcats with a goal and an assist, while Layne Hryhoriw and Sara Kendall also scored. Amaya Giraudier made 23 saves in goal.
The Wildcats will continue the Division D round robin on Friday with games against the Red Deer Chiefs and the Edge School.
