Swift Current Broncos captain Glenn Gawdin signed an amateur tryout contract with the Chicago Wolves, the team announced Sunday.

Gawdin registered six goals and five assists in 14 games while leading the Broncos to game seven of the second round of the WHL playoffs against the Regina Pats.

The 6’1’’ forward from Richmond, BC is a former first round bantam pick and has totaled 188 points in 245 regular season games with the Broncos over four full seasons in Swift Current, including 26 goals, 33 assists, and a plus-21 rating in 52 games this season.

The Wolves are the American Hockey League affiliate of the St. Louis Blues, who drafted Gawdin in the fourth round, 116th overall, in the 2015 NHL Draft.

Gawdin will join the Wolves for the 2017 Calder Cup Playoff Central Division best-of-five semi-final against the Charlotte Checkers.
