The Swift Current Service Master Broncos won the third and deciding game of the Saskatchewan U13 AA Hockey League South semi-final on Sunday.

The host Broncos defeated Estevan 5-0 behind a 17-save shutout from Dylan Wall. Chad Logan led the Broncos with two goals and one assist. Jett Girodat followed with one goal and one assist, while Waylan Peno had two assists.

Dane Bender and Damien Girardin also scored. Cayden Montgomery, Burk Hargrave, and Hope Hunter also had assists.

“When our backs were up against the wall we simplified our game, played hard and capitalized on our chances,” said head coach Joe Logan.

The Broncos had lost game one at home, before winning the next two with their season on the line.

“The leaders on our team have done a great job of not looking to far ahead. Knowing just to take the one game at a time approach. We’ve been able to put the losses behind us and focus on playing our game and so far it’s worked in our favor.” said Logan.
