The Swift Current Comp. High School Senior Colts clinched top spot in the Moose Jaw High School Basketball League with a dramatic win on Tuesday.
Duncan Gevana hit a go-ahead free throw with two seconds remaining on the clock to defeat the Moose Jaw AE Peacock Toilers 87-86 as the Colts finkshed 7-1 in the regular season.
Toby Klassen led the Colts with 22 points. Gevana followed with 16 points and Isaiah Richardson-Langa added 15 points.
The Colts will host an opening round playoff game next Tuesday.
The SCCHS Ardens improved to 7-0 in league play with a 90-23 win over the Toilers.
Sarah Neustaeter led the Ardens with 20 points. Danica Jackson added 14 points and Kylee Michaluk chipped in 12 points.
The Ardens will host the Moose Jaw Vanier Spirits on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
