The Swift Current Home Hardware Legionnaires won a pair of one-goal games over the host Estevan Chargers over the weekend.
The Legionnaires edged the Bears 2-1 on Saturday on goals from Mason Fauser and Kasey Gleim. Connor Rieger, Triston Mitchell-Mcelhone, and Trae Peterson all collected assists. Cade Mitchell earned the win with 32 saves.
Aidan Mohan replied for the Bears. Brady Carr took the loss with 33 saves on 35 shots.
Sunday, Conner Bender made 45 saves to lead the Legionnaires to a 4-3 win. Sam Kirwan led the offence with one goal and one assist, while Will Kirwan, Peterson, and Rieger also scored. Keegan Nash and Wesley Olson picked up assists.
Gunner Moore, Roan Burgess, and Will Nicholson replied for the Bears, who got 35 saves from Cole Ivey.
The Legionnaires remain second in the Saskatchewan Male U18 AAA Hockey League with an 18-4-0 record. Estevan fell to 10-11-2.
The Legionnaires will visit the Yorkton Maulers for two games next weekend.
