Broncos winning streak ends in Lethbridge

The Swift Current Broncos four-game winning streak came to an end in Lethbridge with a 3-1 loss to the Hurricanes on Wednesday.

Lethbridge scored three goals in the first period to put the game out of reach. Logan Wormald, Luke Cozens, and Miguel Marques all scored at even strength in the opening 13:18.

Luke Mistelbacher scored the only goal for the Broncos on the power play in the second period.

Reid Dyck took the loss with 13 saves on 16 shots. Brady Smith earned the win with 33 saves on 34 shots.

The Broncos finished one-for-four on the power play. Lethbridge was zero-for-three with the man-advantage.

The Broncos fell to 8-6-0-0, fourth in the Eastern Conference as they dipped to 1-4-0-0 on the road this season.. The Hurricanes sit second with an 8-3-1-0 record.

The Broncos will visit the Prince Albert Raiders on Friday and host the Regina Pats on Saturday.
