The Southwest CMX Impact split a weekend home stand against the Lumsden Lynx to open the Saskatchewan Junior Female Hockey League regular season in Gull Lake.
Saturday, Mya Brown scored an unassisted goal to lift the Impact to a 4-3 overtime win.
Jordyn Cooper led the Wildcats with one goal and one assist. Bryn Haubrich and Desiree Bouffard also scored. Morgan Bailey and Kayla Keith added assists. Mya Ruschkowski earned the win in goal.
Sunday, the Impact fired 44 shots on goal, but lost 2-1 to the Lynx. All three goals were scored over a 2:54 span in the first period, including an unassisted goal from Cooper. Ella MacMurchy and Danika Lorencz scored for the Lynx.
Payton Schlamp made 43 saves for the visitors. Anna Hartnell made 27 saves for the Impact.
The Impact will visit the Outlook Hawks on Friday and the Saskatoon Prairie Blaze on Saturday and Sunday.
