The SCCHS Senior A Colts volleyball team captured gold this past weekend at the Lloydminister Barons Blast tournament.
The Colts went 2-0 in their opening pool play, beating Mallaig and Lloydminister Holy Rosary. In repool action they defeated Meadow Lake and Vermillion St. Jerome.
In the playoffs the Colts rattled off wins against North Battleford John Paul II in the quarters and Lloydminister Comp in the semi-final.
In the finals the Colts faced off against Meadow Lake and came away with a 22-25, 25-12, 15-10 win to claim gold.
The Colts will return to action on Oct. 18-19 when they travel to Lethbridge.
