The Swift Current Comp. Colts football team earned their first win of the season with a 30-14 defeat of the visiting Estevan Elecs on Tuesday.
The game was tied 14-14 at halftime before the Colts pulled away with a touchdown and a safety in the third quarter.
Jake Woods led the Colts with a pair of touchdowns in the win, one from 39 yards and another from six yards.
Hudson Unger scored a 52-yard touchdown in the second quarter and Nate Siemens scored a one-yard touchdown.
The Colts defense held the Elecs to 18 yards rushing on 20 attempts. They also recovered one fumble and had interceptions from Unger and Kye Griffin.
The Colts improved to 1-3 in the SHSAA 12-Aside South Rural League., while Estevan fell to 0-4. The Colts will visit Weyburn (2-1) on Saturday.
