Kyle’s Chloe Wills won the MJT Golf Saskatchewan OOM Championship at the Legends Golf Course in Warman on August 24-25. Wills sat second in the 15-19 Girls Division after one round with a 78, only two shots behind Sarah Henderson (Saskatoon) for the lead. She improved to a 75 on Sunday to earn a two-shot win over Tayla Perry (Regina).
Swift Current’s Matty Schmiess and Kyle’s Jace Wills tied for third in the Bantam Boys Division, only two shots behind Lucas Sturgeon (Saskatoon).
Wills carded a 74 on day one to sit fourth, only three shots back of the leaders. He shot a 78 on day two. Schmiess was tied for fifth with a 76 in round one and followed with a 77 on Sunday.
Shaunavon’s Kellen Ross shot an 84 on day one and then a 90 on day two.
Swift Current’s Max Gehl carded an 88 in the opening round and followed with a 93 in the final round.
Swift Current’s Ayden Ross placed 17th in the Juvenile Boys Division. Ross was tied for eighth after one round with a 77 on Saturday. He followed with an 88 on Sunday. Ethan Hunter (Casa Rio) won the division by seven shots (72-72).
The MJT also held a Mini Tour event at Wildwood Golf Course on August 23.
Swift Current’s Jace Munro tied for fourth in the Boys 11-12 Division with a 79.
Herbert’s Jameson Fox placed fifth in the Boys 8U Division with a 115.
