A pair of Swift Current basketball players recently suited up at the Hype Her Hoops Mountain Madness tournament in Auburn, WA on July 19-21.
Danica Jackson was a member of Team Sask 15U as they finished with a 2-4 record, including a 54-14 win over Tree of Hope 16U and a 39-33 win over Game Time 15U. Jackson averaged 2.2 points per game, 2.6 rebounds per game, and 0.7 blocks per game.
Dani Meyer’s Team Sask 17U Dev team finished with one win and five losses in the tournament. They defeated Richardson Academy 41-23 for their only win.
Both Meyer and Jackson will now attend the 2024 15U and 17U Women’s National Championship at Memorial University in St. Johns, NL on August 5-10.
