Broncos add two in Import Draft

The Swift Current Broncos made two picks in the 2024 CHL Import Draft on Wednesday.

The Broncos used the 50th overall pick to select Czechia’s Adam Král, a 6’2’’ defender who had six goals and 13 assists in 50 games with Liberec Bili Tygri Jr. in Czechia. The 2006-born Král also represented his country at the 2024 IIHF Men’s U18 World Championship.

The Broncos added Swedish forward William Morin in the second round. Morin, born in 2007, posted 14 goals and 14 assists in 41 games with Luleå HF J20 in Sweden. He also appeared in six games for Sweden at the Under-17 Hockey Challenge.

The Broncos also announced they had released 2005-born forward Petr Pavelec. The Ostrava native had five points in 47 games last season.

2005-born defenseman Jakub Dvorak joined the Broncos last season and finished with 10 points and a plus-19 rating in 21 regular season games. He added two assists in nine playoff outings. The 6’5’’ product of Czechia is a second-round pick of the Los Angeles Kings.
