Leppa wins gymnastics competition in Yorkton

Gelico Gymastics took part in the Yorkton Springers Competition on April 13.

Four Gelico gymnasts were amongst the 16-person field in the Xcel Gold (2007-10) Group A. Brooklyn Leppa won the All-Around competition with 36.80 points. She won Vault with a 9.475 score and won Beam with a 9.10 score. Leppa was also second in Floor (9.225) and tied for ninth in Uneven Bars (9.00).

Kayden Meyer placed third in All-Around with 35.925 points. Meyer won Floor with 9.275 points and was second in Beam with a 9.025 score. She also was sixth in Vault (8.875) and had 8.75 points in Uneven Bars.

Mackenna Striker placed sixth with an All-Around score of 35.00. Her top result was second in Uneven Bars with 9.375 points. She was also eighth in Beam (8.425), ninth in Vault (8.75) and tied for 12th in Floor (8.450).

Breanna Dyck rounded out the Gelico contingent in eighth spot in the division with an All-Around score of 35.725. She was fourth in Beam (8.95), tied for fourth in Uneven Bars (9.150), tied for sixth in Floor (8.725), and had 7.90 points in Vault.

Paityn Reimer was 10th All-Around in the Xcell Gold (2011-2012) Division amongst 26 athletes with a score of 35.425. Her top result was fourth in Beam with a score of 8.90. She also had 8.625 points in Vault, 9.025 points on Uneven Bars, and 8.875 points in Floor.

Leya Hunter was 12th in Xcel Gold (2013-14) Group C with an All-Around score of 35.125. Hunter was 11th in Vault (8.775), 12th in Beam (8.25), and 12th in Floor (9.025). She also had a score of 9.075 in Uneven Bars.
