Gelico gymnasts display power in Saskatoon

The Gelico Gymnastics Club was in action at the Taiso – Power of the Prairie Competition on March 1-3 in Saskatoon.

The top All-Around performance came from Stella Thomson in second spot in the CCP Level 3 Division with a score of 36.55.  Thomson was second in Uneven Bars (9.60 points) and second on the Beam (9.175). She was also fourth in Vault (9.15) and 11th on Floor (8.26).

Kaidence Fifield was third in the CCP Level 3 Division with an All-Around score of 36.42. She won Vault (9.45), was fourth in Uneven Bars (9.30), fifth on Beam (8.85), and eighth on Floor (8.82).

Gelico had two gymnasts in the Xcel Gold (2007-2011) Group A Division. Brooklyn Leppa placed fifth in All-Around with 35.72 points. Her top finish was third in Vault (9.30). She was also fifth in Uneven Bars (9.07), ninth in Beam (8.52), and eighth on Floor (8.82).

Breanna Dyck placed 10th All-Around. She finished 10th in Vault (8.12), seventh in Uneven Bars (8.95), 11th on Beam (8.32), and ninth on Floor (8.65).

Gelico also had two gymnasts in the Xcel Gold (2007-2011) Group B. Raya Erickson finished ninth All-Around (34.87). She was 10th in Vault (8.30), ninth in Uneven Bars (8.80), sixth in Beam (8.95), and ninth on Floor (8.82).

Kayden Meyer placed 10th with a score of 34.60. She was eighth in Vault (8.70), eighth in Uneven Bars (8.92), 10th in Beam (7.57) and fourth on the Floor (9.40).

Paityn Reimer placed eighth (35.50) All-Around in the Xcel Gold (2012-2014) Group B. She was ninth in Vault (8.52), 10th in Uneven Bars (9.07), eighth in Beam (8.60) and seventh on the Floor (9.30).

Leya Hunter placed seventh All-Around (34.90) in Xcel Gold (2012-2014) Group C. She was eighth in Vault (8.20), ninth in Uneven Bars (8.87), third in Beam (8.85), and sixth on Floor (8.97).
