The Swift Current Full Line Ag Wildcats wrapped up 2023 with a pair of road wins in the Saskatchewan Female U18 AA Hockey League.
Saturday, the Wildcats defeated the host Parkland Fire 4-1, led by two goals from Sienna Watson. Chase Collier and Rachel Noble also scored. Vegas Appel registered two assists, while Amy Brown and Jordyn Frohlich added single helpers. Karli Duncan made 18 saves in the win.
Jessica Madsen scored for the Fire, while Tarynn Sutter made 24 saves on 28 shots.
Sunday, the Wildcats scored six goals in the middle stanza to defeat the Fire 9-1. Watson led the attack with three goals and two assists. Appel and Chloe Wills each added a goal and three assists. Noble contributed one goal and two assists. Brown, Jordyn Cooper, and Isabelle Gottselig also scored. Janay Reich and Surrey Lamotte also picked up assists. Jorja Imrie made 21 saves in the win.
Tasia Serelo scored for the home team and Maggie Schell took the loss with 31 saves.
The Wildcats finished 2023 in first place in the province with a 13-1-0-0 record. They will return to action on Jan. 12 when they host the Wildcats at 8 p.m. at the InnovationPlex.
