The Swift Current Graphic Edge Wildcats lost 5-4 to the visiting Regina Rebels White on Wednesday in their only Saskatchewan Female U15 AA Hockey League action of the week.
The Wildcats were tied 1-1 after one period, trailed 3-1 after two periods, and then scored three goals in the third period to make it a one-goal game.
Laynee Rondeau led the Wildcats with two goals and two assists, while Kapri Darby added a goal and two assists. Ava Gingell also scored. Taye Baker and Ally Stusrud chipped in assists. Ryann Erickson made 39 saves in the loss.
Paiton Kohli scored twice for Regina, while Kailey Karpan, Chloe Kovacs, and Ainsley Olfert also scored. Emma Skolney made 31 saves in the win.
Regina finished two-for-three on the power play, while the Wildcats were zero-for-four.
The Rebels White improved to 11-2-2-1 to lead the South Division. Swift Current fell to 5-8-3-0.
The Wildcats will return to action on Dec. 15 when they host the Western Prairie Thunder at 7 p.m. at S3 East Arena.
