Broncos drop rematch with Warriors

The Swift Current Broncos were shutout 4-0 by the host Moose Jaw Warriors on Tuesday.

Jackson Unger made 32 saves for the Warriors, while Brayden Yager had a hat trick.

Jagger Firkus scored the other goal, his WHL leading 23rd, a shorthanded marker in the second period.

Joey Rocha made 33 saves to fall to 4-7-1-0 for the Broncos.

The Broncos fell to 12-11-1-0 to sit seventh in the Eastern Conference, while Moose Jaw improved to 15–10-0-1.

The Broncos will host the Eastern Conference leading Medicine Hat Tigers on Wednesday.

Bronco Bits: Head Coach Devan Praught is now eligible to return the bench after serving a five-game WHL suspension following an on-ice incident in practice. The Broncos were 3-2 under assistant coach Taras McEwen in his absence.
