U15 Surge win twice in Lethbridge

The U15 Surge fnished with a 2-1 record at a weekend tournament in Lethbridge. The Swift Current U15 Surge boys basketball team placed first on the B side of the LMBA Battle at the Bridge prelim tournament with two wins and one loss.

Their first game Friday night resulted in a 40-38 loss to Grey Horse. The top scorers for the game were Will Gerbrandt with 12 points and Ryan Ugalino with nine points. Arlen Henderson was named the Booster Juice Player of the Game.

Saturday morning the Surge defeated the Lakers U15 67-56. Top scorers were Isaiah Richardson-Langa with a total of 26 points, Ryan Ugalino with 12 points, and Manning Unger and Henderson with eight points each. Ugalino was named the Player of the Game.

They finished their afternoon off with a 66-47 win over LCBC. Top scorers for the game were Henderson with 14 points, and Ugalino and Richardson-Langa with eight points each. Gerbrandt was named the Player of the Game.

The next tournament action for the U15 Surge will be in Moose Jaw on May 19-21.
