U18 AA Broncos lose one-goal games on the road

The Swift Current Southwest Source For Sports Broncos lost three straight one-goal games over the weekend in the Saskatchewan U18 AA Hockey League.

Friday, the Broncos lost 4-3 in overtime to the host Prairie Storm. Sam Kirwan continued to produce with two goals and on assist. Riley Moberg also scored. Keegan Nash collected two assists, while Burke Osinski and Carson Sabine added single helpers. Hunter Arntsen took the overtime loss with 27 saves.

Saturday, the U18 AA Broncos lost 4-3 to the host Estevan Bruins. Cooper Flath led the Broncos with a goal and one assist. Sam Kirwan and Ryder Bradford also scored. Aston Annesley added one assist. Arntsen took the loss with 29 saves on 33 shots.

Sunday, they dropped the rematch 4-3 to the Bruins. Flath registered a goal and an assist, while Sam Kirwan and Bradford also scored. Annesley picked up one assist. Arntsen took the loss with 29 saves on 33 shots.

The U18 AA Broncos finished the week in fourth spot in the South Sask Hockey League standings with a 16-6-2-1 record.
