A delegation from the Dr. Noble Irwin Regional Healthcare Foundation attended a regular City of Swift Current council meeting on Oct. 13 for the proclamation of Oct. 18-24 as We Care for Healthcare Week in recognition of the 2026 Pharmasave Radiothon for Healthcare.
The live broadcast for the two-day Radiothon takes place from the Elmwood Golf Club restaurant on Oct. 22 and 23. The Radiothon is the Healthcare Foundation’s largest annual fundraiser and each year’s event benefits a different department at the Cypress Regional Hospital.
This year’s goal is to raise $150,000 to purchase a hematology analyzer for blood sample analysis, a hematology slide stainer, a urinalysis microscope and two reagent refrigerators for the hospital laboratory.
These pieces of equipment will assist the laboratory to provide results in an effective manner that will support medical staff with clear and accurate diagnoses.
Donations can be made online on the Healthcare Foundation website or by calling in from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the two-day Radiothon.
