Swift Current Fire Department crews were dispatched to a structure fire on the 400 block of 7th Avenue Southeast at 6:50 a.m. on August 19.
Upon arrival, firefighters found dense smoke coming from a detached garage. Crews accessed the garage and extinguished the fire. Salvage and overhaul operations were performed. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire. Moderate to heavy structural and content damage took place.
Two Swift Current Fire Department vehicles responded to the incident, involving six (6) Career and three Auxiliary members. The RCMP, and City Light & Power also responded.
The cause is currently under investigation.
