The Swift Current Home Hardware Legionnaires lost 5-2 to the Notre Dame Hounds on Friday to open the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League semi-finals.
The Legionnaires fell behind 2-0, tied the game up, before allowing three unanswered goals in game one of the best-of-five series.
Chase Gallant and Mkyllan Couture scored for the Legionnaires with assists from Riley Dekowny, Lucas Ochitwa, Christian Riemer, and Owen Ozar. Cody Levesque took the loss with 36 saves on 40 shots.
Nolan Renwick, a Swift Current Broncos draft pick, and Ethan Ernst led the Hounds with two goals each, while Luke Mylymok added a goal and an assist.
Aaron Randazzo earned the win with 21 saves.
Game two will be Sunday in Swift Current at 1:30 p.m.
