The Swift Current Home Hardware Legionnaires scored three unanswered goals in the third period to tie their opening round playoff series on Wednesday.
Wesley Olson, Carter Moen, and Trae Peterson all scored in the third period to lift the Legionnaires to a 5-2 win over the host Warman Wildcats to tie the series 1-1. Berney Weston made 34 saves on 36 shots in the win.
Moen led the Legionnaires with two goals and one assist. Peterson also scored twice. Jake Hargrave, Olson, Will Kirwan, and Kai Packet all added assists.
Dade Wotherspoon scored both goals for Warman. Corben Schnurr made 21 saves in the loss.
The best-of-five Saskatchewan Male U18 AAA Hockey League series will continue on Thursday at 7:15 p.m. at the InnovationPlex in Swift Current.
