The Swift Current Broncos scored four unanswered goals to stun the host Medicine Hat Tigers in a 5-3 win on Friday.
Luke Mistelbacher scored three goals in the third period alone to lift his season total to 35 while ending the Tigers streak of 13 games with at least a point. He got the comeback started with a power play goal before Trae Wilke tied the game minutes later. He scored the game winner with 3:40remaining in regulation before scoring into an empty net.
Rylan Gould had opened the scoring for the Broncos with his 22nd goal before Gavin McKenna, Hunter St. Martin, and Oasiz Wiesblatt scored to put the Tigers ahead.
Joey Rocha made 27 saves for the Broncos to improve to 9-3-0-1. Harrison Meneghin took the loss with 18 saves.
The Broncos improved to 26-20-1-1 to remain eighth in the Eastern Conference. The Tigers remain first in the Eastern Conference with a 33-16-2-1 record.
The Broncos will host the Wenatchee Wild on Saturday.
