
Five SunDogs Volleyball Club teams were in tournament action over the weekend.
The Plewis Automotive Group 14UM SunDogs Elite team won all seven matches to win gold at the Golden Ticket Tournament. They will return to action on February 22 as Sask Cup #1 in Warman.
The 18UW SunDogs Elite placed second at Sask Cup #1 in Regina. They won every set aside from losing in the round robin and in the final to the Huskies. They will return to action on Feb. 21 at QCVC in Regina.
The Fountain Tire 15UW Elite SunDogs also placed second at Sask Cup #1. They finished 2-1 in pool play and then won their crossover match. They came from behind to win their quarter-final versus QCVC and then defeated Momentum Black in three sets, capped by a 15-9 win in the third set of the semi-final.
The SunDogs dropped the championship match 20-25 and 21-25 to Huskies Premier.
They will host Medicine Hat for exhibition games on Feb. 22.
The Southwest Sports Excellence 15UM SunDogs Elite placed 10th out of 25 teams at Sask Cup #1 in Regina. They will be back in tournament action on Feb. 15 in Estevan.
The 18UW Select SunDogs placed 29th at Sask Cup #1 in Regina. They will return to action on Feb. 15 at the Melville Blackout Blitz.
